Instead of a traditional walk down the aisle, one adventurous bride took a thrilling downhill ski run in her wedding dress to say "I do" atop a snowy mountain in the French Alps. Jess and Ladis Hoefkens celebrated their marriage on Mont Brévant in Chamonix, France, surrounded by 20 guests clad in ski attire for their unique and intimate ceremony at 8,000 feet.

The bride's father proudly skied alongside his daughter for about 65 yards to where the groom, officiant, and guests awaited. With the breathtaking backdrop of the French Alps, the couple exchanged their vows in a truly unforgettable setting.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed canapés and champagne before skiing down the mountain together, with the photographer capturing every exhilarating moment.

The couple met in 2019 on the Tinder dating app, and both shared their interest in the slopes.

"I come from a family of pretty active mountain enthusiasts," shared the bride, who hails from Dorset, England. She added that her father was thrilled to ski her down the "aisle."

Describing the experience, Jess said, "Coming down the aisle was just amazing. Obviously, I've never skied in a dress before!" Despite the short distance, she admitted to a moment of hoping everything would go smoothly. The couple's unconventional wedding has left a lasting impression on their guests, who continue to rave about how beautiful and special it was.

Ladis proposed during a sunset walk in 2022, and he recalled Jess expressing her desire for a mountain wedding. While acknowledging that hosting their celebration in the French Alps was a bit pricier than a typical wedding, they were happy to accommodate their loved ones in Chamonix chalets.
