Father's Day Prank Unites North Texas Dads in Hysterical Viral Moment
A North Texas parish just served up a Father's Day surprise that's bringing joy and laughter to millions!
In a brilliantly coordinated effort, hundreds of dads at Saint Ann's Catholic Parish in Coppell were hilariously "duped" into wearing the same shirt to Mass on Father's Day, creating a moment of pure, wholesome fun that quickly went viral. It all began with what mom Kristen Combo called "a Holy Spirit idea" – a simple plan to prank a small group of husbands. However, as word spread among the local moms, the idea grew into a "full-blown holy operation," with over 200 mothers secretly collaborating. They all purchased the same bright blue polo shirt from a Catholic apparel company, Sock Religious, presenting it to their husbands as a sweet Father's Day gift.
The big reveal on Sunday morning was priceless. As dads arrived for Mass, confusion turned to laughter as they spotted countless other men in identical attire. "Are y'all doing a thing?!" one bewildered dad exclaimed in a video capturing the priceless reactions. Jake Coffman, one of the surprised fathers, recounted his realization with a laugh, "I was like, 'I think we all have the same shirt. We just got pranked by our wives!'" He added that the stunt "brought that little bit of joy that we needed for Father’s Day." Even the church's priest reportedly joined in the fun, sporting the now-famous polo.

Kristen Combo, who shared the hilarious scene on her Instagram, watched as the reel garnered millions of views in less than 24 hours. She believes the widespread appeal comes from a universal desire for "wholesome content" and seeing "men be really amazing fathers." Combo even joked that "God was in on the prank, laughing from heaven," noting how the simple gag had "blessed and brought joy to so many people across the world."
The playful prank not only provided a memorable Father's Day experience but also served as a wonderful bonding moment for the large parish community, proving once again that "Catholic moms" have a truly unique sense of humor and a knack for spreading joy.
