While other children in the class stood confused, little Kyndal sprang into action. She immediately ran to find another teacher, alerting them to the unfolding crisis. Shortly after the incident, daycare staff arrived at the home of Taylor Moore, Kyndal's mother, eager to share the incredible story. Moore was initially surprised, unsure of what had transpired. "They were like, 'She’s our hero for the day,' and I’m kind of looking like, what happened?" Moore explained. She quickly grasped the gravity of the situation, realizing, "If she hadn’t have gone and got the assistance, this story could have gone a totally different way."
Her mother expressed immense pride and astonishment at Kyndal's intuitive response. "I never thought to introduce what to do if an emergency arises, so it was a shock to me to see that she knew exactly what to do in a situation like that," Moore shared during a videocall, with a beaming Kyndal in her arms.
Kyndal's selfless act is a powerful reminder that heroism can come in the smallest packages. Her quick thinking under pressure not only saved a life but also stands as an inspiring testament to the innate courage and compassion that even young children can possess.
