Particularly at the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. While an exact overall total for all charities across all races wasn't immediately available, significant contributions were made, underscoring the sport's dedication. A major highlight was the 43rd annual Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) Gala, which kicked off the Memorial Day race weekend by raising a record-breaking $1.5 million for local children's charities. This event, presented by Sonic Automotive, EchoPark Automotive, and Sonic Powersports, showcased the deep philanthropic spirit within the NASCAR community.

Beyond direct fundraising, NASCAR's "Salute to Soldiers" efforts, part of the broader NASCAR Salutes Together with Coca-Cola program, served as a powerful tribute throughout May and culminated at the Coca-Cola 600 on May 25. The centerpiece of this initiative is the "600 Miles of Remembrance," where every NASCAR Cup Series driver takes to the track with the name of a fallen service member emblazoned on their car's windshield. This poignant tradition ensures the legacy of these heroes lives on, with Gold Star Families often hosted at the track to witness the tribute firsthand.

The Memorial Day weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway was a full celebration of military appreciation, featuring various activities, performances, and a joint oath of enlistment ceremony for future service members. The racetrack itself was adorned with logos commemorating the upcoming 250th anniversaries of the Army, Marine Corps, and Navy. Drivers widely expressed the profound honor of carrying the names of fallen soldiers, recognizing the immense sacrifices made for their freedoms. Additionally, the NASCAR Foundation's "NASCAR Day Giveathon," held earlier in May, continued its success, having raised nearly $1.3 million for nonprofits across the country in its first two years, further extending NASCAR's charitable reach. Through these combined efforts, NASCAR continues to exemplify its unwavering support for the military community and various charitable organizations.
